Toys"R"Us & Babies"R"Us Return To U.K. In 2022

(RTTNews) - Toys"R"Us ANZ Limited and WHP Global, the parent company of Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us, said that they have signed a long-term licence agreement, by which Toys"R"Us ANZ will run digital and physical retail commerce for Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us in the United Kingdom.

Toys"R"Us ANZ plans to commence online sales to UK shoppers over the next several months, initially from existing operations in Australia. Meanwhile, it works to establish local teams, offices and logistics facilities during 2022 and 2023.

In connection with the licence deal, Toys"R"Us ANZ will issue shares to Tru Kids Inc. equal in value to US$1.76 million subject to shareholder approval at the Annual General Meeting to take place later this year.
