Toys "R" Us To Close About 180 Stores In U.S.

(RTTNews) - Toys "R" Us Inc announced that about 180 stores in the United States will close in the coming months. For Toys"R"Us Canada, all 83 stores are open for business as usual to serve customers, honouring all policies, warranties, Baby Registry, Gift Cards and RClub loyalty program.

For 2018, Toys"R"Us Canada will be taking additional steps to improve the overall customer omnichannel experience with compelling promotions, continued improvements to mobile and digital marketing and enhancements to our baby registry and loyalty programs.

In September 2017, Toys"R"Us Inc. said that the Company and certain of its U.S. subsidiaries and its Canadian subsidiary voluntarily filed for relief under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia in Richmond, VA.
