Tower International Names James Gouis President, To Succeed Malcolm As CEO

(RTTNews) - Tower International, Inc. [TOWR] Thursday announced the appointment of James Gouin as President, effective September 1, and as CEO, effective January 1, 2017. Gouin, who has been serving as CFO since November 2007, will also join the Board as he becomes CEO.

Further, the company said Jeffrey Kersten will succeed Gouin as executive vice president and chief financial officer. He has been serving as senior vice president and corporate controller since 2007.

Mark Malcolm has earlier announced his retirement as CEO, but will continue to serve as a director.

"The operational and financial improvements and consistently strong performance under Mark's leadership have been exemplary," noted Tower Chairman Nicholas Chabraja.
