Total System Services Profit Rises; Details Weak FY14 Outlook - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Total System Services Inc. (TSS) Tuesday reported fourth-quarter net income to common shareholders of $65.7 million or $0.34 per share, up 7.9% from $60.9 million or $0.32 per share last year.

Adjusted cash earnings per share for the quarter were $0.48 per share compared with $0.37 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were up 25.4% at $600.8 million compared with $479 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.47 per share on revenues of $616.59 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking ahead to fiscal 2014, the company expects adjusted cash earnings of $1.90 to $1.93 per share and revenues of $2.491 billion to $2.542 billion. Analysts expect earnings of $2.02 per share on revenues of $2.57 billion. Total System Services provides payment processing and other services to card-issuing and merchant acquiring institutions.
