TomTom named Intellectual Property Team of the Year
TomTom (TOM2) today announced that its IP team has been named European Intellectual Property Team of the Year at the 2015 International Law Office European Counsel Awards, supported by the Association of Corporate Counsels (‘The ACC’). The awards celebrate the achievements of in-house counsel, recognised by their peers for excelling in their chosen fields.
"We are delighted by our win,” said Marina Wyatt, CFO at TomTom. "TomTom has a long track record of developing innovative products for the markets in which we operate; we actively protect our intellectual property and defend it vigorously and we have a great team to drive this.”
According to Bill Mordan, board member of the ACC and Reckitt Benkiser, Senior Vice President and Group General Counsel, "The aim of the awards is simple - to find and recognise the best in-house lawyers based in Europe.”
To identify the winners, the ILO team conducted in-depth analysis of in-house lawyers and legal departments worldwide, receiving more than 1,500 individual nominations across a number of categories.
