The S&P 500 Is on Track to Do Something It Hasn't Done Since 1999, and Here's What It Could Mean for 2025
The S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) soared 26.3% (including dividends) in 2023, and it's up 27.8% in 2024 so far. That means it's on track for consecutive annual gains of at least 20% for the first time since 1999. In fact, going back to when the S&P 500 was established in 1957, that has only happened on six occasions.
