Tech Data Announces U.S. Sales And Marketing Leadership Team

Tech Data Corporation (NASDAQ: TECD), a leading distributor of IT products, today announced a new executive leadership team for its U.S. Sales and Marketing divisions, effective immediately. Pete Peterson has been named senior vice president, U.S. Sales; Senior Vice President, U.S. Marketing Joe Quaglia has assumed expanded responsibilities for all Tech Data U.S. marketing operations and vendor partnerships; and Chuck Bartlett has been promoted to vice president and general manager, Advanced Infrastructure Solutions.

Peterson To Head Tech Data’s U.S. Sales Division

A 14-year veteran of the IT channel, Peterson will lead Tech Data’s inside and nationwide field sales teams. He also is responsible for the company’s technical services organization and will serve as executive sponsor of Tech Data’s TechSelect community of small and medium business (SMB) resellers. Peterson joined Tech Data in 1996 as director of sales planning and has since played an integral role in many of the company’s key initiatives. He served as vice president, East and Government Sales, and as vice president, Systems Product Marketing. Most recently, Peterson was senior vice president and general manager, Advanced Infrastructure Solutions, establishing and successfully growing the company’s high-end data center solutions business.

Prior to Tech Data, Peterson held management positions with Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., Honeywell Corp. and Polaroid Corp. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from Florida State University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Tuskegee University.

Quaglia To Lead All Tech Data U.S. Marketing And Vendor Partner Relations

Quaglia — who has led the company’s U.S. Product Marketing and Marketing Services divisions since 2007 — also is now responsible for the marketing activities supporting vendors distributed through Tech Data’s Advanced Infrastructure Solutions (AIS) Division. This consolidates all Tech Data U.S. marketing and vendor partner relations under his direction. As senior vice president, U.S. Marketing, Quaglia and his team have helped hundreds of leading manufacturers and software publishers strengthen their go-to-market strategies by effectively marketing to, recruiting and enabling the nation’s leading IT resellers.

Quaglia joined Tech Data in 2006. Prior to his current position, he was Tech Data’s vice president, East and Government Sales. He has nearly 24 years experience in the IT industry, including 10 years with CA, Quaglia earned a master’s degree in business administration from Butler University and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Indiana State University.

Peterson and Quaglia will report to Wright.

Bartlett To Lead Tech Data’s Advanced Infrastructure Solutions Division

As vice president and general manager, Advanced Infrastructure Solutions, Chuck Bartlett is responsible for the operations and execution of the AIS Division. He will lead a team of dedicated sales and technical professionals, who provide resellers with access to one of the channel’s broadest data center solutions offerings.

Bartlett was most recently Tech Data’s vice president, Cisco Solutions Group. He joined Tech Data in 2006 as vice president, Networking Product Marketing and has more than two decades of IT sales, marketing and distribution experience. He was vice president, Global Distribution Sales, Marketing and E-Commerce with Molex Inc., a leading manufacturer of interconnect products and systems, and was vice president Worldwide Distribution Sales, Marketing and E-Commerce with Phillips Semiconductor.

Bartlett earned a master’s degree in management and organizational development from Webster College in St. Louis and a bachelor’s degree in business management from Iowa State University. He also is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Command Officers School in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Bartlett will report to Quaglia.
