Taro Posts Higher Profit In Q2 -Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Taro Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (TARO) reported second quarter net income attributable to company of $143.4 million or $3.35 per share, compared to $96.3 million or $2.15 per share in the year-ago period.

Net sales improved 22.2 percent to $250.8 million from $205.32 million in the same period a year earlier. Gross profit, as a percentage of net sales, was 79.0 percent compared to 77.7 percent in the prior year period.

Operating income increased $40.0 million to $160.3 million, or 63.9 percent of net sales, compared to 58.6 percent of net sales in the last year quarter.
