Tag.bio Makes Healthcare Data Accessible - See in Action at Precision Medicine World Congress 2020
SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 22, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Tag.bio, a startup that makes it easy for virtually any healthcare life sciences professional to perform data science, today announced participation in the Precision Medicine World Conference this week at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
Tag.bio co-founders Jesse Paquette and Tom Covington will be available at Booth #1307, where they will showcase how Tag.bio makes reproducible data analysis simple - easily accessible for doctors, scientists, and data scientists alike. Also, Tag.bio VP of Customer, Mark Mooney will deliver a showcase talk: "Asking Complex Immuno-Oncology Data Questions Simply with Tag.bio," on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 1:45 p.m. in Track 7.
"As a data scientist, I found firsthand that the process of answering questions asked of healthcare life sciences datasets for users was staggeringly slow. At best, it used to take days-to-weeks to return a result. While the volume of data balloons and cloud architectures grow more complex, physicians and scientists need to navigate the data mesh and know sooner: Why does this cancer evade the immune system? Is there a clinical trial that will benefit my patient?" said Jesse Paquette, co-founder and Chief Science Officer of Tag.bio. "Our software platform allows a physician or scientist to do an analysis in seconds to find data patterns across many types of data, while utilizing their expertise and curiosity to drive insightful discoveries. The statistics and descriptive language returned provide answers that are clear and actionable."
"Tag.bio was founded to answer the question, 'how much time would data scientists save and how much value could be unlocked if end users didn't have to wait for someone else to answer their data-related questions for them?" said Tom Covington, co-founder and CEO of Tag.bio. "The Tag.bio software platform automates what was previously a weeks-to-months' long process down to seconds, giving healthtech life sciences professionals the ability to use their own skills to find answers in large datasets. Ultimately, we want to become the browser for a world wide web of data."

About Tag.bio
Tag.bio was founded on the belief that innovation is a function of human curiosity. This manifests in a desire to ask questions of data, and the greater the number of questions that can be answered, the greater the chances of making the next fundamental breakthrough. Spinning off from the UCSF Cancer Center, Tom Covington and Jesse Paquette started Tag.bio to develop a platform to allow oncology researchers to quickly ask and answer guided questions of their data without having to wait for a bioinformatician. We've since expanded into commercial and academic partnerships across the life sciences sector, from leading academic institutions to large pharmaceutical organizations.
