T1 Energy Picks Yates Construction For 5 GW Solar Cell Plant At Milam County, Stock Up In Pre-Market

(RTTNews) - T1 Energy Inc. (TE), Monday announced that the company has selected Yates Construction, a subsidiary of The Yates Companies, as contractor for preconstruction services and site preparations for its planned G2_Austin 5 GW Solar Cell Facility at Milam County.

The facility, worth $850 million, is expected to begin producing cells by the end of 2026, creating upto 1,800 full-time jobs.

As per the deal, Yates Construction will leverage its experience in advanced manufacturing facility construction for the project.

In the pre-market hours, TE is climbing 37.83 percent, to $1.84 on the New York Stock Exchange.
