Support.com Boosts Q4 Earnings Outlook

(RTTNews) - Support.com, Inc. (SPRT) said Tuesday that it now expects to report adjusted revenue of $24.5 million to $25.0 million, and adjusted earnings from continuing operations of $0.08 per share to $0.09 per share for the fourth quarter.

Previously, the company expected adjusted revenue of $24 million to $26 million and adjusted earnings from continuing operations of $0.06 per share to $0.08 per share.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters currently expect the company to earn $0.07 per share on revenue of $25.00 million for the fourth quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

In its third quarter financial results call, the company indicated that it would experience a sequential decline in revenue and profitability in the first quarter of 2014. Following the resolution of questions regarding certain customer programs at the end of 2013, the company has increased visibility into its outlook for the first quarter of 2014.

For the first quarter, the company currently expects revenue of $16 million to $18 million and adjusted results from continuing operations in the range of a loss of $0.04 per share to breakeven per share. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $0.02 per share on revenue of $2187 million for the first quarter.
