SuperSonic Imagine Announces the Appointment of Bernard Doorenbos as President of Supervisory Board

SuperSonic Imagine (Paris:SSI) (Euronext: SSI, FR0010526814, PEA-PME eligible), a company specialized in ultrasound medical imaging, today announces the appointment of Bernard Doorenbos as Interim President and Hernmann Requardt as independent strategic consultant for SuperSonic Imagine’s Supervisory Board. Bernard Doorenbos is replacing Hans Barella, who is stepping down today, as previously announced at the Shareholders’ Meeting on March 3, 2014 and communicated in the last Reference Document.
Bernard Doorenbos began his career in 1983 at Phillips Group’s Medical Systems division, where he was Head of Sales and Services for Latin America, and then joined Thalès’ naval division in 1986. Following his impressive performance, Bernard Doorenbos has since spent most of his career in senior management in listed companies such as Axxicon Group, Neways Electronics and Vilenzo International, as well as at the helm of a number of industrial companies. Bernard Doorenbos, 66, has an MSc in Electronics from the Delft University of Technology and a Master’s degree in Financial Economics from the University of Amsterdam.

Hermann Requardt is appointed Independent Consultant to SuperSonic Imagine’s Supervisory Board and Board of Directors to provide his extensive expertise and substantial knowledge of the sector. Hermann Requardt, 60, began his career in 1984 at Siemens Medical Solutions as a physicist within the imaging division, and rose rapidly through the ranks. In 2008, he was appointed CEO of Siemens Healthcare and the Corporate Technology Department. Hermann Requardt is also active in academic circles and is notably an Honorary Professor of Physics at the prestigious Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany.
