SunEdison Q4 Loss Widens, Revenues Miss View - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Semiconductor and solar technology company SunEdison Inc. (SUNE) reported that its fourth-quarter net loss attributable to stockholders was $286.4 million or $1.07 per share, wider than net loss of $11.8 million or $0.05 per share in the same quarter last year.

Excluding items, adjusted net loss for the quarter was $128.7 million or $0.48 per share, compared to adjusted net income of $19.9 million or $0.08 per share in the same period last year. On average, twelve analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.22 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net sales for the quarter declined 8 percent to $551.2 million from $600.7 million in the prior-year quarter. Adjusted net sales were $960.7 million, compared to $704.3 million last year. Analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $1.07 billion for the quarter.
