SunEdison Q4 Loss Narrower Than Estimates; Sales Misses

(RTTNews) - SunEdison, Inc. (SUNE) reported a net loss for the fourth quarter of $242.1 million or $0.89 per share, compared to a net loss of $286.4 million or $1.07 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted net loss for the fourth quarter was $42.7 million or $0.16 per share, compare to an adjusted net loss of $128.7 million or $0.48 per share in the prior year quarter.

Net sales for the fourth quarter rose to $610.5 million from $551.2 million a year ago, while adjusted net sales for the quarter fell to $625.5 million from $960.7 million last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.33 per share on revenue of $683.56 million for the fourth quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
