SunEdison Q2 Loss Widens - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - SunEdison, Inc. (SUNE), formerly known as MEMC Electronic Materials Inc., posted a wider second-quarter net loss attributable to stockholders of $102.9 million, or $0.45 a share, compared with a loss of $77.2 million, or $0.33 a share last year. On the other hand, non-GAAP net loss amounted to $42.4 million, or $0.19 a share for the recent three-month period.

Net sales fell sharply to $401.3 million, from $808.4 million on a GAAP basis, and it plunged year-over-year to $491.6 million, from last year's $933.4 million on a non-GAAP basis.

The company said its quarterly results reflected solid execution in its Semiconductor Materials unit and continued growth in its solar project pipeline and backlog.
