(RTTNews) - Shares of Co-Diagnostics, Inc. (CODX) are up more than 60% and trading at $14.66 in early hours, after the company said that a new FDA policy released last night to expedite the availability of COVID-19 diagnostics, will allow it to aggressively expand its presence in the U.S. market.

Co-Diagnostics said it was the first U.S. company to obtain a CE marking for a COVID-19 test, and in the past month has shipped its CE marked and research use COVID-19 test kits to many countries, with international shipments continuing to escalate.

The new FDA policy announced last night would allow the company's test kit to be used by a wide array of U.S. laboratories, without first requiring Emergency Use Authorization, the company stated.
