Spirit AeroSystems To Cut More Jobs In Wichita, Kansas - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. (SPR) Thursday said it will reduce more workforce in Wichita, Kansas, in an effort to save overhead costs and drive improved performance.

Starting September, the reductions will be carried out through a voluntary exercises, followed by a layoff of management and salaried employees.

A lump sum severance payment and career transition services will be offered to employees who are laid off, with additional healthcare bridging option to employees who are eligible for the voluntary retirement program.

While the final number of jobs to be impacted has not yet been determined, details will be shared with eligible and included employees in the coming weeks, said the company.
