Spire Inc. Q2 Income Advances 6%

(RTTNews) - Spire Inc. (SR) released a profit for its second quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $103.5 million, or $2.37 per share. This was up from $97.6 million, or $2.25 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $2.28 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 30.6% to $609.30 million. This was down from $877.40 million last year.
