Sonic Automotive Q1 Profit Declines, Revenues Meet View - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Sonic Automotive Inc. (SAH) reported that its first-quarter net income declined to $13.97 million or $0.27 per share from $19.39 million or $0.36 per share in the same quarter last year.

Adjusted net income for the latest quarter was $18.38 million or $0.36 per share.

Total revenues for the quarter grew to $2.24 billion from $2.14 billion last year.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.38 per share on revenues of $2.24 billion. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Sonic Automotive also said its board of directors approved a quarterly dividend of $0.025 per share payable in cash for stockholders of record on June 15, 2015. The dividend will be payable on July 15, 2015.
