SkyWest Combined June Traffic Down 7.5% - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - SkyWest Inc., (SKYW) reported combined June 2015 traffic for SkyWest Airlines and ExpressJet Airlines. The company reported 2.60 billion in revenue passenger miles, or RPMs, for June 2015, compared to 2.81 billion in RPMs for June 2014, a 7.5% decrease. Capacity, expressed in Available Seat Miles, or ASMs, was 3.06 billion ASMs compared to 3.33 billion ASMs, prior year, a decrease of 8.1%.

Load factor increased 0.6 points to 85.2 percent in June 2015 compared to 84.6 percent in June 2014.

SkyWest carried 4,972,163 passengers in June 2015, compared to 5,253,163 passengers in June 2014, a 5.3% decrease.

The company reported 176,695 block hours in June 2015, compared to 197,006 block hours in June 2014, a decrease of 10.3%. The company said the net decrease was consistent with SkyWest's fleet transition plan of adding new dual class aircraft to its fleet, while reducing its 50-seat and 30-seat aircraft.
