Sigma Designs Q2 Loss Narrows

(RTTNews) - Sigma Designs, Inc. (SIGM) Wednesday reported second-quarter net loss of $4.8 million or $0.14 per share, narrower than $13.4 million or $0.41 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Adjusted net income for the latest second quarter was $2.0 million, or $0.06 per share, compared to net loss of $4.0 million, or $0.12 per share in the prior year quarter. On average, two analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.01 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Meanwhile, quarterly revenues declined 21.2% to $53.76 million from $68.25 million last year, while two analysts expected revenues of $52.98 million for the quarter.
