Shenandoah Telecommunications Selects ADTRAN Total Access 5000 to Upgrade Its Access Network
ADTRAN®, Inc., (NASDAQ:ADTN), a leading provider of next-generation networking solutions, today announced that Shenandoah Telecommunications (Shentel) (NASDAQ:SHEN) has selected ADTRAN's Total Access® 5000 Multi-Service Access and Aggregation Platform (MSAP) to upgrade its access network to a single voice, data, and transport network capable of supporting the bandwidth-intensive needs of a next-generation network.
Shenandoah Telecommunications selected ADTRAN for its network upgrade based on the Total Access 5000's flexibility, providing the ability to offer multiple services from a single platform along with an industry-leading warranty, outstanding customer service and unprecedented bandwidth capacity.
"ADTRAN's Total Access 5000 will allow us to provide our customers with a breadth of services in a very cost-effective manner from a single platform,” said Jeff Manning, manager, network engineering, Shenandoah Telecommunications. "Having the ability to migrate our legacy DSLAMs into our Ethernet core with the same platform that will provide advanced services over copper and fiber is a huge advantage for us.”
"We are pleased that Shenandoah Telecommunications has selected the Total Access 5000 for their network upgrade,” said P. Steven Locke, vice president of sales, service providers, ADTRAN Carrier Networks Division. "The Total Access 5000 is a perfect solution for service providers such as Shenandoah who seek a flexible, cost-effective solution as they transition their networks to provide a wide array of next-generation services.”
