Shaw Industries Leverages Ariba Supplier Network for Direct Materials Purchasing; Leading Carpet Manufacturer Expands Relationship with Ariba for Wall-to-Wall Spend Management
"Ariba Buyer provides a very efficient way to connect withsuppliers, and it has helped us generate substantial results to managea significant portion of our spend," said Lance Starks, director ofCorporate Sourcing, Shaw. "Adding Ariba Supplier Connectivity willallow us to connect a large portion of our direct material suppliersby bringing transactions that are currently run through our ERP systemonto the Ariba Supplier Network. Ariba Supplier Connectivity is a subscription-based solutionhelping enterprises extract more value from non-Ariba procurementsystems by seamlessly connecting them to the Ariba Supplier Network.The Ariba Supplier Network is an on demand, open business network thatincludes more than 120,000 suppliers. Each month, these suppliersconduct online transactions exceeding $5 billion with some of theworld's largest buying organizations. Participating buyers andsuppliers can conduct business with each other electronically,managing complete transactions -- from sourcing, to orders, topayment. They can also access multiple network-delivered services toenhance interaction and collaboration among companies.
