Shanda Games Q2 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Shanda Games Ltd. (GAME) Wednesday reported second-quarter profit of 374.4 Chinese yuan or 0.70 yuan per share, up from 308.4 million yuan or 0.55 yuan per share in the comparable quarter last year.

In U.S dollars, earnings totaled $60.6 million or $0.11 per share. On a per-ADS basis, earnings improved to 1.40 yuan, or $0.22, from 1.10 yuan last year. Adjusted earnings for the quarter was 0.75 yuan per share, or $0.12 per share. On a per-ADS basis, adjusted earnings were 1.50 yuan, or $0.24.

Analysts, based on consensus, expected the company to earn $0.20 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items. Revenues decreased to 1.09 billion yuan from 1.13 billion yuan last year. Revenues in dollars amounted to $175.6 million. Analysts expected revenues of $174.74 million.
