Sensient Technologies Urges Shareholders To Reject FrontFour's Nominees

(RTTNews) - Sensient Technologies Corp. (SXT) urged its shareholders to support the Company's nominees and reject FrontFour's nominees by signing, dating and returning the WHITE proxy card.

A hedge fund named FrontFour Capital, whose principals previously worked together at Pirate Capital and which owns only 1.5% of Sensient shares, is seeking to replace four members of the company's Board of Directors with its own hand-picked nominees whom the company believes are beholden to the hedge fund, lack relevant industry experience, and have serious issues in their backgrounds that FrontFour has not disclosed.

In a letter to its shareholders, Sensient Technologies said it believes FrontFour's argument in support of replacing the company's directors is almost entirely premised upon a selective and misleading presentation of Sensient's performance. Furthermore, FrontFour has offered nothing more than what the company sees as a simplistic and inaccurate critique of the company's efforts, demonstrating its lack of understanding of the company's business.

The company believes the election of any of FrontFour's nominees will seriously disrupt its strategy and progress and put the value of shareholders' investment at risk.
