Samsung Galaxy S6 To Sport Aluminium Body, Curved Edge Display: Reports

(RTTNews) - The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 will likely feature an all-new aluminum body design and have a curved edge display screen on both sides, according to Italian tech blog Samsung HD Blog.

If the latest rumors are to be believed, then Samsung's (SMSN.L, SSNNF.OB, SSNLF.OB) widely anticipated flagship smartphone Galaxy 6 will sport a full aluminum chassis and also feature a 'dual-edge' display.

Meanwhile, reports also suggest that the rumored smartphone with 'edge display' may also be a separate phone 'Galaxy S6 Edge' instead, which will be launched alongside Galaxy S6. Galaxy Note Edge was the first smartphone from Samsung's stable that featured the 'edge display.'

Reports indicate Samsung Galaxy S6 will run on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop powered by a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 processor or Qualcomm S810 with 3GB of RAM.

Rumor mill also predict the official launch of Galaxy S6 to be in the second quarter of next year, instead of earlier reports of a January launch during the CES in Las Vegas.

The South Korean tech giant expects the new design and metal body to lure more android fanatics to buy their flagship devices, considering the not so great sales of Galaxy S5 .
