SafeNet Releases Secure Carrier-Grade VPN Client for Mobile Devices
SafeNet, Inc. (NASDAQ:SFNT), setting the standard for information
security, today announced the availability of SoftRemote Mobile,
a secure, carrier-grade VPN client for securing wireless applications on
mobile devices. SoftRemote Mobile is a customizable, ready-to-use
VPN client application that allows mobile carriers and device
manufacturers to offer their enterprise customers secure VPN services
and MOBIKE-enabled roaming capabilities. VPN Consortium proven
interoperability also makes SoftRemote Mobile an ideal mobile VPN
solution for corporate customers who want to offer their executives and
mobile workforce secure mobile access to business-critical data and
applications.
Based on the popular, proven, and reliable version 11.0 of SafeNet’s
award-winning SoftRemote VPN product family, SoftRemote Mobile protects
business-critical communications, delivering robust security to mobile
applications such as email, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), and
remote access to enterprise applications. Support for MOBIKE enables
mobile users to seamlessly roam from one IP network, such as GPRS, EDGE,
or 3G data network, to another network, such as WLAN, without dropping
the secure VPN connection. These roaming capabilities are a key
requirement for fixed mobile convergence environments such as UMA and
IMS. SoftRemote Mobile supports the most popular mobile device
platforms, including Windows Mobile 5 and the upcoming Windows Mobile
release, codenamed Crossbow.

to put reliable value-added secure mobile VPN services in their networks.” 3GSM Product Demonstration
