Ryder System Q4 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Ryder System Inc. (R) reported that its fourth-quarter net earnings increased to $64.6 million or $1.22 per share, from $53.8 million or $1.05 per share, last year. Earnings per share from continuing operations was $1.24, compared to $1.07, a year ago. Comparable earnings per share from continuing operations was $1.35, for the quarter.

On average, 14 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $1.29 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenues were $1.62 billion, compared to $1.58 billion, prior year. Analysts expected revenue of $1.64 billion for the quarter.
