(RTTNews) - Specialty chemical products company RPM International Inc. (RPM) reported third-quarter net loss attributable to stockholders of $57.3 million or $0.44 per share, compared to net income of $16.2 million or $0.12 per share in the year-ago period. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.14 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Quarterly net sales were $946.37 million, up from $863.41 million in the comparable quarter last year, while six analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $936.67 million.

The company expects fiscal 2015 earnings to be at the upper end of its current range of $2.25 to $2.30 per share, on an as-adjusted basis. Analysts expect earnings of $2.27 per share for fiscal 2015.
