Ross Stores Names Barbara Rentler CEO, Effective June 1 - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Ross Stores Inc. (ROST) announced senior management succession, pursuant to which President and Chief Merchandising Officer, Barbara Rentler, would become Chief Executive Officer and Michael O'Sullivan would continue as President and Chief Operating Officer. Barbara Rentler has served as President and Chief Merchandising Officer, Ross Dress for Less since 2009.

Michael Balmuth, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive since 1996, would be the Executive Chairman of the board, as announced earlier. These changes would be effective on June 1, 2014.

Further, effective June 1, 2014, Lisa Panattoni would be promoted to President, Merchandising, Ross Dress for Less from her current Group Executive Vice President post; and Bernard Brautigan would be the Group Executive Vice President, Merchandising, Ross Dress for Less, a promotion from his current role as Executive Vice President.
