Republic First Bancorp Posts Profit In Q2

(RTTNews) - Republic First Bancorp Inc. (FRBK) Tuesday reported second quarter net income of $1.0 million or $0.04 per share, same as last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.02 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net interest income for the quarter grew to $8.1 million from $8.0 million in the prior year, while total non interest income for the quarter was $2.9 million, up from $2.5 million a year earlier.

Non-performing assets decreased to $19.9 million as of June 30, 2013, compared to $23.4 million as of June 30, 2012.
