This is the first time that China has defined the position of TCM at a legal level. LKK Health Products Group held a seminar in Xinhui, Guangdong, China, on December 29, inviting more than 40 specialists from Hong Kong's TCM industry to discuss its development.
Tommy Li, HK Justice of the Peace and member of the Chinese Medicine Development Committee of Hong Kong, Chen Qiang, deputy director of the coordination department at the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R., representatives from the Hong Kong Yee Yee Tong Chinese Medicine Merchants Association Limited, the Modernized Chinese Medicine International Association, Hong Kong Chinese Prepared Medicine Traders Association Limited and Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Industry Association Limited, as well as specialists from Eu Yan Sang, China Shineway Pharmaceutical and PuraPharm attended the seminar, and visited the Chinese herbal farm and manufacturing facilities of Infinitus, a member company of LKK Health Products Group.
The Law, which will go into effect on July 1, 2017, is destined to enhance the stature of TCM worldwide, in addition to solidifying its position in China.
