Rentrak: "Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation" Maintains No. 1 Position Worldwide

(RTTNews) - Media measurement company Rentrak Corp. (RENT) on Sunday announced the official worldwide weekend box office estimates for the weekend of August 16.

Paramount Pictures' Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation once again topped the list of worldwide weekend box office estimates with $63.1 million, followed by Universal's Straight Outta Compton with $56.1 million and 20th Century Fox's Fantastic Four with $24.2 million.

"Tom Cruise does it again as Paramount's 'Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation' maintained the overall number one position both worldwide and in the international territories for the third consecutive weekend. The fifth in the franchise, this "Mission" is now closing in on the $400 million mark globally," said Rentrak's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian.

In the domestic territory, however, Straight Outta Compton was in the No. 1 position, followed by Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation and Man From U.N.C.L.E.
