Rent-A-Center Q1 Income Falls 7%
(RTTNews) - Rent-A-Center (RCII) released a profit for first quarter that lost ground from last year.
The company said its earnings declined to $25.66 million, or $0.48 per share. This was down from $27.54 million, or $0.52 per share, in last year's first quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.40 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter fell 4.8% to $835.62 million. This was down from $877.64 million last year.
