Reliance Steel & Aluminum Q3 Profit Rises 4%

(RTTNews) - Reliance Steel & Aluminum (RS) released earnings for its third quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $95.8 million, or $1.30 per share. This was higher than $91.8 million, or $1.25 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.19 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 11.9% to $2.45 billion. This was up from $2.19 billion last year.
