Reliance Steel & Aluminum Q3 Income Climbs 7%

(RTTNews) - Reliance Steel & Aluminum (RS) released earnings for its third quarter that climbed compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $91.8 million, or $1.25 per share. This was higher than $85.8 million, or $1.16 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.32 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 4.4% to $2.19 billion. This was down from $2.29 billion last year.
