Randgold Resources Q1 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Gold producer Randgold Resources Limited (RRS.L, GOLD) Thursday posted 33 growth in profit for the first quarter, with 10 percent increase in gold production. The Group also said it is on track to achieve its production guidance for the year.

For the first quarter, the Group's profit rose 33 percent to $84.9 million. Profit attributable to equity shareholders totaled $69.8 million, compared to $54.3 million last year.

Gold production during the quarter was up 10 percent at 322 470 ounces. Total cash costs decreased 4 percent to $619/oz.

Total revenues for the first quarter reached to $316.7 million, up from $267.5 million a year ago.

In addition, the company said its shareholders approved 52 percent hike in annual dividend to $1.00 per share.
