RadioShack Q3 Loss Widens - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - RadioShack Corp. (RSH) reported that its third quarter net loss widened to $161.1 million or $1.58 per share from $135.9 million or $1.35 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

On an adjusted basis, loss from continuing operations was $125.3 million or $1.23 per share, wider than $91. 1 million or $0.90 per share in the prior year period.

Operating loss for the third quarter was $114.1 million, compared to operating loss of $128.6 million last year.

Total net sales and operating revenues for the latest third quarter were $650.2 million, down from $775.4 million last year. Comparable store sales were down 13.4% driven by traffic declines and soft performance particularly in the mobility business.

On average, eight analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $1.04 per share and revenues of $717.03 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
