Questar Corp. Announces 3% Rise In Q1 Profit

(RTTNews) - Questar Corp. (STR) revealed a profit for its first quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $87.5 million, or $0.50 per share. This was higher than $84.6 million, or $0.48 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.51 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 6.5% to $456.3 million. This was up from $428.6 million last year.
