Quest Software Names IT Veterans Carl Eberling and Steve Kahan to Management Team

Quest Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: QSFT) today announced two strategic senior management appointments as it solidifies its leadership position in systems management. The company has named Carl Eberling as vice president and general manager of virtualization and monitoring, and Steve Kahan as vice president of global marketing. Both Eberling and Kahan will report to Doug Garn, Quest president and CEO, and provide leadership and strategic direction for Quest’s initiatives on a worldwide scale.

Prior to his role at Quest, Eberling was the senior vice president of IT for Kaiser Permanente, where he led a team of professionals to manage IT operations across the system’s business units. Eberling also has held senior IT leadership positions at VerizonWireless, Pacific Bell, Cellular One and AirTouch Communications.

Kahan joins Quest with more than 20 years of experience leading marketing teams in systems management organizations such as BindView and NetIQ. Most recently, Steve served as vice president of marketing and product management at The Planet, responsible for the overall leadership and strategic marketing direction for the company.
