Quantel: A New $6M Military Laser Contract

The Quantel Group (Paris:QUA) has received new orders for military lasers for a fixed amount in excess of $6 million, to be delivered over 3 years.

These orders are in addition to those already received in 2015, for about $7 million (see the press release dated May 12, 2015, at www.quantel.fr under News & Press Releases).

Total orders for such products therefore currently stand at more than $13 million, to be delivered before the end of 2019, allowing the Group to proceed smoothly with increasing its dedicated production capacity.

Quantel has already developed and produced several series of these lasers. They are intended to be integrated in a POD positioned beneath the wings of fighter aircrafts for target designation and telemetry applications.

The lasers have been produced for several years for a large equipment manufacturer and can equip in particular the French Rafale aircraft.
