Quaker Chemical Q1 Profit Tops Estimate

(RTTNews) - Quaker Chemical Corp. (KWR) reported net income for the first quarter of $12.7 million or $0.96 per share, compared to $13.6 million or $1.04 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings per share for the first quarter were $0.95, compared to $0.96 for the first quarter of last year.

Net sales for the first quarter rose 3% to $181.7 million from $176.2 million a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.94 per share on revenue of $182.97 million for the first quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
