Quaker Chemical Profit Tops Estimate

(RTTNews) - Quaker Chemical Corp (KWR) Thursday reported second-quarter net earnings of $15.4 million or $1.16 per share, compared with $16 million or $1.22 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $1.11 per share.

Revenue for the quarter was $191 million, compared with $184.8 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters projected earnings of $1.08 per share on revenue of $191.8 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking forward, Quaker expects to see modest growth in most of its major markets, although some countries such as India and Brazil could continue to be challenging.
