QEP Resources Slips To Loss In Q2

(RTTNews) - QEP Resources, Inc. (QEP) Wednesday posted second-quarter net loss attributable to the company of $92.3 million or $0.51 per share, compared to net income of $178.4 million or $0.99 per share in the same period last year.

Adjusted net income for the latest second quarter was $67.9 million or $0.38 per share, up from $62.9 million or $0.35 per share in the prior year quarter.

On average, 14 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.33 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues increased to $936.7 million from $751.0 million last year, while four analysts expected revenues of $823.45 million.
