PRIMEDIA Names George Kang VP and General Manager of Automotive Digital Network; Edmunds Veteran to Play Key Role in Development of Online Auto Properties

PRIMEDIA Inc. (NYSE: PRM), the country's leadingtargeted media company, today announced the appointment of digitalpublishing veteran George Kang as vice president and general managerof the company's Automotive Digital Network. The Network comprisesseven flagship or "in-market" sites, including motortrend.com,automobilemag.com, automotive.com and intellichoice.com, andencompasses the official Web sites of more than 50 of PRIMEDIA'svenerable automotive titles including Truck Trend, Hot Rod, Car Craftand European Car.

Mr. Kang will play a major role in advancing PRIMEDIA'sauto-related online properties as a leading source for advertisers andmarketers to connect with automotive enthusiasts and in-market buyers.In his new position, Mr. Kang will be responsible for all sales,marketing and ad operations across PRIMEDIA's online automotiveproperties.

In addition, Nielsen's @Plan market researchsystem indexes the PRIMEDIA Automotive Digital Network as the leadingonline network in the critical category of users who intend topurchase a new or used vehicle in the next six months.

Mr. Kang comes to PRIMEDIA from Edmunds, where he worked for thepast five years, most recently handling sales and business developmentefforts with the major West Coast OEMs. At Edmunds, he wasinstrumental in developing dynamic, compelling campaigns for variousOEMs. Prior to Edmunds, Mr. Kang worked at both Nissan and MercedesBenz in a variety of product development and marketing roles.
