PRIMEDIA Elects Christopher Fraser as General Counsel And Secretary

PRIMEDIA Inc. (NYSE: PRM) today announced its Board ofDirectors elected Christopher Fraser to the position of GeneralCounsel and Secretary. Beverly Chell, former General Counsel andSecretary, remains with PRIMEDIA in her capacity as Vice Chairmantaking on new responsibilities.

"Chris has been instrumental in leading PRIMEDIA through itsevolution by providing outstanding counsel and guidance.

Prior to his election to the position of General Counsel andSecretary, Mr. Fraser held the title of Senior Vice President, Law. Inthis role, Mr. Fraser managed PRIMEDIA's legal department, includingvarious transactions regarding employment, securities and theprotection of intellectual property. Mr. Fraser began his career atPRIMEDIA in 1994 as assistant general counsel and served as deputygeneral counsel. Before joining PRIMEDIA, Mr. Fraser was an associateat Kay Collyer & Boose and Latham & Watkins. He is a graduate ofColumbia University's School of Law and Graduate School of Journalism,and the University of Notre Dame.

Mr. Fraser will retain his title of Senior Vice President.
