A Leading European Logistics Firm Secures Office and Logistics Space In Prestigious New International Business Park
(SOFIA, BULGARIA May 10, 2010) Developer Tishman International Companies, a leading international commercial real estate development and management company, and GE Real Estate Central & Eastern Europe, have announced that cargo-partner EOOD, has signed a 5.5-year lease for office and warehouse space in the Logistics Center of the new Sofia Airport Center (SAC), located at 64 Christopher Columbus Boulevard in Sofia, Bulgaria.
cargo-partner is a global logistics firm with a large presence in CEE. They will occupy an aggregate of approximately 1250 square meters (13,400 square feet) of office and warehouse space.
cargo-partner's operations will be located in Logistics Building B.03 of SAC, a flexible mixed-use business park containing Class A offices, warehouse and logistics offices. It is fast becoming the premiere international business park in Bulgaria, developed and managed according to Western European and U.S. standards.
"SAC is attracting tremendous interest from leading global tenants because of its flexible design, which allows us to accommodate the specific requirements of sophisticated tenants like cargo-partner," said Tishman International Chairman Alan D. Levy.
Construction of the three buildings in the Logistics Center is complete, with the warehouse space in two of the buildings that are fully leased. Adjacent to the Logistics Center is the SAC Office Center where the first building, a Class A, 17,300 sq. m. (186,000 square feet) office tower, is slated for completion in June of this year. The Office Center is Bulgaria's first LEED-certified "green" commercial building, and is expected to achieve LEED "silver" status. The only other LEED-certified building in Bulgaria is the U.S. Embassy in the capital city of Sofia.
SAC's convenient location and proximity to Sofia International Airport along with superior quality construction attracted the interest of cargo-partner, as well as the Logistics Center's expansive list of services that includes among other things, 24-hour security, snow removal and pest control services provided by Tishman's on-site property management.
SAC was represented by Tishman's Leasing Manager, Bozhidar Zahariev and Forton International .
