Press release - Grontmij terminates sale agreement with Flevo Invest for Naarderbos golf course

De Bilt, 11 June 2014 - Grontmij N.V., a listed consulting & engineering company with strong European presence, is terminating the sale agreement with Flevo Invest B.V. for the Naarderbos golf course today. Grontmij has reached this decision following extensive efforts to enforce execution of the agreement.

On 17 July 2013 Grontmij signed an agreement with Flevo Invest B.V. regarding the sale of Golfbaan Naarderbos for a total amount of € 5.8 million (view press release). Grontmij has made various attempts to enforce execution of the agreement, including instituting summary proceedings, resulting in a decision of the Utrecht District Court on 25 April 2014 ordering Flevo Invest to meet its purchase commitment within 14 days.

It has become clear to Grontmij that Flevo Invest is unable to meet its commitments under the sale agreement. Grontmij has therefore decided to terminate the sale agreement today.

Grontmij still intends to sell the golf course and will now seek discussion with other interested parties.
