Feintool International AG is to sell all the shares in IMA Automation Amberg GmbH to Preh GmbH. The purchaser's business strategy will create an ideal basis for IMA to continue expanding its leading position in assembly automation in the future markets. IMA's workforce of over 240 employees will be transferred to Preh and its location in Amberg retained.

On 17 June 2014, the German-Chinese automotive group Preh GmbH, Bad Neustadt a.d. Saale, signed an agreement with Feintool International Holding AG, Lyss, on the purchase of IMA Automation Amberg GmbH, Amberg, which has been a successful supplier of assembly systems for almost 40 years and is among the technology leaders in its sectors. The acquisition still requires cartel authority approval. The purchase price for the shares and the company's operating facilities is approximately CHF 24 million.

Guidance for the Feintool Group confirmed

Feintool is revising its forecasts due to the sale of IMA. Sales of CHF 470 - 480 million are expected for the continuing operations in the 2014 financial year, with an EBIT margin forecast to be in the region of 6.7%. The medium-term target is for sales of CHF 600 million, with an EBIT margin of 8%.
