Pre-market Movers For May 15 (NFLX, AMAT, JWN, BSQR, PTX, AVP, KING, GMCR)

(RTTNews) - Gainers:

Netflix, Inc. (NFLX) is rising over 3 percent to $608.89 amidst a report that is in talks with a Chinese media company backed by Jack Ma, who is the Executive Chairman of Alibaba Group Holding Ltd (BABA), and other possible partners as it seeks entry into the country's $5.9 billion online video market.

Applied Materials, Inc. (AMAT) is gaining 3 percent to $20.36 as its second quarter results topped Wall Street expectations. The company also guided third quarter adjusted earnings per share in line with Street view.

Nordstrom Inc. (JWN) is up 1 percent to $75.06. The company's first quarter earnings declined from the year-ago period and missed market view. Meanwhile, total revenues for the quarter improved and topped the consensus estimate. The company also reiterated its annual outlook.

BSQUARE Corp. (BSQR) is jumping 43 percent to $5.85. The company swung to a profit in its first quarter, while revenue improved 6 percent from the prior year period. The company also expects continued GAAP profitability in its second quarter.

Pernix Therapeutics Holdings, Inc. (PTX) is up 6 percent to $6.85 as it has received FDA approval for TREXIMET or sumatriptan and naproxen sodium for use in pediatric patients 12 years of age and older for the acute treatment of migraine with or without aura.

Decliners:

Avon Products Inc. (AVP) is down over 1 percent to $6.96. Avon reported that it has not received any offer or other communication from PTG Capital Partners and has not been able to confirm that such an entity exists. Earlier, a regulatory filing showed that PTG Capital Partners has proposed to acquire Avon at $18.75 per share.

King Digital Entertainment plc (KING) is down 9 percent to $13.62 as it forecast second quarter gross bookings to decline sharply from the year-ago quarter as well as sequentially. At the same time, the company's first quarter non-GAAP results were above Street view.

Keurig Green Mountain, Inc. (GMCR) is down 6 percent to $96.42 amidst reports that it plans to roll out Keurig Kold slower than expected.
